Haun's Mill

So I first want to apologize for all of these pictures just having me in them, but it has just been me and my dad going on these trips so my dad takes the picture and I am in them, what more do can you do when there are only 2 of you? So just ignore me, and  the  history behind this place is very interesting.... Back when Joseph Smith was a prophet he heard that the mobs were coming so he went to the communities and told them they all needed to go to Far West or Adam-Ondi-Ahman to be safe, well there was a man by the name of Jacob Haun who said that he and his community would not leave because he wanted to protect his Mill.  Well when the mobs came they killed a bunch of the people in that community so this site was kind of a sad one but well known.  So the lesson we learn is always listen to the Prophet!

Independence Visitor site, and Independence temple site

here are pics from the Independence visitors center.  And where the Independence temple will be built.  If any of you have a chance to come visit Missouri this place is absolutely amazing we are loving it!!!

Adam-Ondi-Ahman

My dad took me to Adam-Ondi-Ahman, here in Missouri  this place was very peaceful and very humbling. The spirit was so so strong there, it was really fun to imagine the time when Adam was here on the earth, and also so cool to imagine the gathering that will take place when Christ comes again.

my little monkey..

scenerio:  I am in the kitchen doing dishes... as usual, the kids are playing... as usual, I turn around to see where Grant is, I look down, no Grant so where is he?
On the kitchen chair, This isn't just an ordinary chair they are counter height chairs so they are pretty high. He was so proud of himself I couldn't help but laugh and take pictures!  So here is the story line of pictures...

This is how I found him,

I guess he just wanted to see the flowers!

And then he stood up.....
Pulled himself up further, still so very proud!
And then all the way on top... I could see the wheels turning thinking "wow this is really high! Maybe I should try and find a way down."
So he goes for the chair, and decided that is wasn't very safe
So he chose a spot where there was no chair at all and wanted to free fall (good thing mom was there)
I love you Grant! You always keep me on my toes and laughing all day!
